Mark started his career in 1995 with Toni and Guy in his local town of Sutton, (London,UK), at the age of 15. It was at this salon that he realized how much he enjoyed and thrived in a team environment, assisting others with their work, learning together, and working together to complete common tasks and goals. Mark moved up the ranks at the Sutton location, and eventually became Style Director of the Wimbledon (London, UK) salon at age 20. He enjoyed working at the Wimbledon location, but knew that he needed to follow his passion and in order to do that, he needed to pursue a career driven by education. Mark moved onto the Toni and Guy Academy in London and began teaching by the age of 21. At this same time, he became active in the Art Director program at the academy, and proceeded to excel and complete it by age 23; one of the youngest ever in the history of Toni and Guy. Over the next 10 years, he taught at the academy all levels of stylists; from running the beginners course for 6 years, to the Junior stylists vardering program within the T&G system, as well as all established hair stylists taking any advanced cutting courses available from the academy. This is where Marks passion for education came to fruition, where he got to work, hands on, side by side with other stylist, assisting them to hone and perfect their craft. With his title as International Artistic Director for the company, these years also saw him  traveling the world educating, doing stage work, participating in London Fashion Week, and headlining major T&G/label.m shows in the UK and abroad. Mark educated salons, stylists, and distributors in over 30 countries on current hair trends as well as the latest product developments within the company, label.m. He started travelling to the United States in 2011, which then found him accepting and heading up an exclusive educational contract with label.m USA in 2012. He has throughly enjoyed traveling the United States and Canada over the last 3 years. Traveling and educating North America has brought along with it a fresh perspective for the future of his career and his life.

The Next Chapter

A word from my self :

Through all of my travel and work that I have been fortunate enough to participate in, I have come back to realize what my constant passion for our industry has and will always be, educating. Watching stylist grow, getting to be involved in their learning and helping them reach their full potential is what drives me in my career. I love stage work, I love being a part of a team, but I realize that at this time in my life I want to reconnect with my roots of teaching one-on-one and want to help build and assist in growing individual members into being a team. My goal is to change the way education is bought and taught; emphasizing reoccurring courses and consistent contact between student and teacher, where education is a year-round experience and finds my students in constant contact with me, sharing their hopes and aspirations for their future, knowing I will work hard to provide them with all the tools they need to be successful.

My travels have brought me to the Pacific Northwest region, where I have found multiple passions in my private life as well, from many different active outdoor sports, to exploring, hiking and camping new regions of this beautiful part of our country. I love the openness and ease of the people in this part of the country and feel very confident about settling down here and starting the next chapter of my life, with my wife and family.

I'm excited to connect with salons and stylists who are as motivated through education as I am, and look forward to sharing my the wealth of knowledge of this wonderful industry with each and every one. I am committed to delivering a truly  exceptional, one of a kind, consistent educational experience. I have a dream for the future; one where we work together building and perfecting your craft and career, while constantly inspiring the other to learn and grow within our wonderful industry.
